Membership of the Herb Society of Victoria Inc is stimulating, interesting and fun.

 

 

The Society aims to educate and inform its members about all aspects of herbs:

 

· Their cultivation, including organic techniques; and

 

· Their uses — culinary, medicinal, craft and more.

 

Formed in 1980 by an enthusiastic group of herb lovers, the Society has grown steadily and now has members throughout Australia.

 

The Society has a particular interest in salvias with salvia gardens in several different parts of Victoria. In 1991, the Society was recognised by the Ornamental Plant Conservation Association of Australia (now the Garden Plant Conservation Association of Australia) as an official custodian of the genus Salvia.

 

 

All members receive by post a copy of our informative monthly magazine, The Herb Age. They have the opportunity to attend monthly meetings and to participate in regular trips and seminars.
